In this flash tutorial we will learn how to create buttons in Flash.

Go to file menu and select New, to start a new flash stage.

start by selecting an oval or rectangle tool and draw shape on your stage

Right click on your shape and convert it to symbol, select button and press okay. Now the shape is converted to a button

Every buton has states like UP, OVER, DOWN, HIT. Double click on your button and you will see all the four states on time line

under "over" right click on time line and select insert keyframe. Click on your button and from properties change the fill color to a different color

under "Down" right click on time line and select insert keyframe. Click on your button and from properties change the fill color to a different color

under "Hit" right click on time line and select insert keyframe. Click on your button and from properties change the fill color to a different color

Now lets get back to your stage by double clicking any where on your stage, but not on the button.
Step
test your movie. you button will work now.
