How to backup and restore the Active Directory

In run type->ntbackup->check system state->start backup
Recover AD:
There are two ways to recover ad:
1. Normal Restore
2. Authorotative Restore
3. Primary Restore(if we have only one DC)
1. Normal Restore :
to recover ad -> first shutdown your server.start your server->on bootup press f8-> slect stat in restore mode->use your backup/recovery username & password here->ntbackup->Restore & Manage Media->select your backup file->start restore->Click Yes to restart->if you have adc, then you can performe replicate data on aditional servers.
2. Authorotative Restore:
to recover ad -> first shutdown your server.start your server->on bootup press f8-> slect stat in restore mode->use your backup/recovery username & password here->ntbackup->Restore & Manage Media->select your backup file->start restore->Click NO to restart->go to dos->ntdsutil->authoritative restore->restore subtree ou=ouname,dc=dcname,local=localname
