PRINTERS:

â   DOT MATRIX:- Uses solid pins (9, 18, 24, 48) to produce letters by combining dots, more pins good result... 100-400 CPS(ch/s), ch printers...

â   LASER:- Save whole page in mem & then print it, Known as Electrophotographic/pg printer 6-16 ppm (pg/min), 300- 600 + dpi(dot per inch)... uses laser cartridge...

â   INK JET:- Fire droplets of ink...360+ dpi, 200+ cps(Thermal inkjet by HP, Piero by Epson).

Uses ink jet cartridge, color ink...

â   LINE PRINTER:- LPT prints one line at a time, very fast used with mini comp, main frames & networks, Ribbon 1200 LPM(line/min)...

PIOTTER:

Device used to draw charts, digrames & other lines based on graphics...

â   INK JET PIOTTER:- use tiny droplet of color...

â   PEN P:- uses one/mor pens...

â   FLATBED P:- paper is placed on a wide piotter & pens are used..

â   DRUM:- paper is rolled over a cylinder...

MONITOR:

            ANALOG (CRT), DIGITAL (Flat panel)...

MONITOR TERMs:

[     1:- CRT(Cathode Ray  Tube): Phosphorent dot emit light when struck by e' from gun ...

                                                            Color    Bits

                                                            16        4

                                                            256      8

                                                            64k      16

                                                            16M     24

[     2:- DOT PITCH: The diagonal distance between Phosphorent pixel of same(like) color measured in mili meter 0.22--0.39, 0.52 smaller the dot pitch sharpes the pic...

[     3:- REFRESH RATE:" The speed at which e' beam repeat a single scan over pixels"...

70 Hz is standerd, (1 Hz = 1 cycle/s)...

[     4:- SIZE OF MONITOR: 9 inch(22.9 cm)-- 21 inch(53 cm)... 800 x 600 = 486000 pixels...

[     5:- TYPES OF SCANNING:

Ø      A: NON INTERLACED SCANNING: A display methode in which the e' beam scans each line of screen once during each refresh cycle...

Ø      B: INTERLACED SCANNING: Odd lines are scanned in one cycle & then even, go on used in analog monitor...

Ø      C: PROGRESIVE SCANNING: Line by Line scanning, flat reflect less glass then curve...

[     6:- TYPES OF MONITOR:
